Can a condom break without splitting completely?

Me and my bf were having n i heard a pop noise.. i asked what it was and to pull it out to see if everything was ok.. the sec i glanced at it it looked as everything was intact.. but after everything was all said and done he got uo and went to the restroom so quick i couldn't tell.. bt then later he rubbed my stomach and stated " how is my baby" looking at my stomach.. what are some of the indications that a condom has broke?
