Did I swallow a tonsil stone?

I'm 17 and have just discovered that I have white spots on my tonsils. So I did a bit of research and discovered that what I have are called tonsil stones. I tried gargling with salt water and about 5 minutes later, I started to feel a lump on the right side of my throat, which is on the same side as the tonsil stone. even the right side of my neck feels tight. What really bothers me, though, is that I'm not sure if it would ever go down, even if I did swallow it. I tried drinking a hot tea. The tea went down, and I can breathe just fine, but I still feel like something, possibly the tonsil stone, is there. What do I do???
