I'm a teenager so is this normal.?

I'm 16 ok and last time I checked in Ireland at 16 you can go out with who ever you ant at what age.So when I met my boyfriend online who was 19 and who had originally came online just for after 3 weeks or more we were messing around how I was uncomfortable with what he was saying to me then however if he would like to give it a shot. So we had phone a couple of times and then he talked about coming over here and doing it for real and for a while I went along with it however I really deep down didn't feel comfortable with it.So we stopped then we started arguing and we broke up . I swore after that no matter who I'd date and no matter what age that I wouldn't go into stuff like this just to keep it a float. I would also remain a Virgina until I was married. Should I tell my parents of this or is this normal stuff for a teen to do. They knew I was dating hm online but not the what do you think.?
