Why is it Republicans are harping on Unemployment Numbers?

When they are the same now as they were in 1983? You REMEMBER 1983!! Ronnie Raygun was in office and had been in office for over 2 YEARS! And Why did Ronnie blame it on Jimmy for over 2 years, but we can't, after only 9 months, use W as an excuse? Why are their memories SSOOOO Short??
